It is a tradition of FCU to have a “Remembrance Sunday” on the first Sunday of the new year, remembering those we lost in the past year, as well as welcoming those who were born in the past year. We light candles to remember, and to welcome. The Deacons co-lead the service.

It is a tradition of FCU to have a “Potpourri Service” the Sunday after Christmas, led by our Deacons. It is a casual service where participants have a chance to share a favorite reading or something they’ve written, or a story.

On November 22, 2020, our virtual service featured our traditional Cornbread Communion, led by our Deacons. My homily was “Giving Thanks in All Things”.
