Glimmers of FCU Talent Auction 2024

Closing Sunday: May 5, 2024 at 6pm

Welcome to the FCU Talent Auction, celebrating the joy, creativity, generosity and kindness in this amazing community! We hope everyone will join in the weeklong fun of bidding (and outbidding and getting outbid and outbidding again!) on such varied items as theme dinners, game nights, vacation homes, yummy desserts and savory treats, baskets and boxes and bags and trips and new experiences, rides and raffles and exquisite original art pieces. Not enough exclamation marks to cover it all.

Here’s what you can do to join in the fun:

1. Donate! The bidding all hinges on the generous donations of our church community so we invite all your many talents. Revive old favorite offerings or think up new and wonderful services you might offer and then fill out the donation form here (https://www.fculittle.org/talent-auction-donation-form/). You will need the church password to access the form. Pictures of donations are welcome. Items for the Basket Raffle may be donated using the same form. And remember, this can be a great way to let folx know about the local businesses you love so don’t be afraid to ask those businesses if they would like to donate an item or gift certificate. We are happy to spread the word about their community spirit and generosity!
2. Tell us what you want to bid on. Need a ride to the airport, closets cleaned, help setting up a new email client, just a big box of chocolate? If there are items or services you are hoping will be available through the auction let the auction team know (email us at TA@fculittle.org) and we’ll see if someone wants to offer it.
3. Check your bidder registration. If you have been a registered bidder in past auctions you are already registered with Auctria and do not need to re- register. We do suggest you check to make sure your email and credit card information is correct. You can check under Your Account on the Auctria website at https://auctria.events/FCULittleton. If you are new to First Church Unitarian and wish to participate, just send an email to TA@fculittle.org and the team will send you an invitation to register.
4. Invite friends and family to be registered bidders. We love to include our friends and families in the auction. Please let us know if you have a friend or family member who would like to be a registered bidder and we will help them get signed up. You can share the auction webpage link (https://auctria.events/FCULittleton) so they can see the catalog and if they are interested in bidding just send us their contact information at TA@fculittle.org and we’ll help them get registered as your guest.
5. Stock up on tickets for the Basket Raffle. Baskets will be on display in the vestry during the week of the Auction with tickets on sale before and after services on the opening and closing Sundays. Drawing of the winners will be done after church on the closing Sunday. As in the past, the raffle will include unique baskets as well as items from the regular catalog so if you get outbid on that dinner you really wanted, try your luck at winning a seat through the raffle.
6. Bid. Kind of says it all. Bid early and often. Bidding opens at noon on the opening Sunday and ends at 6pm on the closing Sunday. Have fun and good luck!
