Welcome Children and Youth!
You are always welcome at First Church Unitarian. We would love to meet you and your parents and tell you about our programs. You may also contact our Director of Religious Education (DRE) at dre@fculittle.org
Nursery
Nursery care for infants and toddlers under age 4 is available for all Sunday morning services, including designated Family Services. Plan on arriving a bit early to sign in and settle your young ones in before the services begin. Greeters/ushers can assist you in locating the Nursery.
Children's Religious Education
(see additional information under Education, above)
Each Sunday after a brief family worship time (except for designated Multigenerational Family Services) children leave the sanctuary for their own program of religious education, creative expression, and values formation. After service parents should find their children on the lower level before joining us for fellowship and refreshments in the Vestry.
Our programs are in session mid-September through mid-June. Children are welcome to join us at any time throughout the year.
Senior Youth Group
We offer a broad range of activities encouraging spiritual and moral growth including community service projects.
Children not quite ready to leave parents
Children not ready to leave their parents are welcome to attend the services. We only ask that you be mindful of your child's attention span and ability to respect this time and space as set aside for worship. Alternatively, you are welcome to accompany your child to the RE program or the nursery until your child is comfortable. A basket near the entrance to the Sanctuary has quiet activities for children to use during worship.
