Welcome Visitors!
First Church Unitarian is a liberal religious community which welcomes people of all ages, races, sexual/gender orientations, ethnic and religious backgrounds seeking a community committed to justice and compassion. Our congregation is self-governing, democratic, and welcoming to all.
Could this be the spiritual home you’re looking for?
As Unitarian Universalists, we’re not like most religious communities. While we trace our roots to the Christian and Jewish traditions, Unitarian Universalists draw upon all faith and wisdom traditions of the world. Our religion is centered around shared moral values and a deep commitment to love, service, freedom, justice, and spiritual growth.
Come as you are
We affirm the inherent worth and dignity of all persons – including you! We’re a congregation of people with varied religious backgrounds, experiences, and questions searching for insight and meaning not bound by any specific statements of belief. We embrace each individual's ideas about life, death, creation, and God.
Feel free to explore us online. Experience a warmer welcome in person.
Worship
We invite you to join us in worship, fellowship, and service. We gather Sunday mornings starting in early September through late June to celebrate our joys, grieve our sorrows, honor the holy, and make a joyful noise! Our services are generally at 10am - please check Upcoming Services. We celebrate many holidays of the world’s religions. In the summer we gather once for a joint service with neighboring Unitarian Universalist congregations.
