“All around you, people will be tiptoeing through life, just to arrive at death safely. But dear children, do not tiptoe. Run, hop, skip, or dance, just don’t tiptoe.” – Shane Claiborne
How do we help our children to live a just, honorable, and courageous life? I believe we do this as a community by helping them learn and understand the principles and values we ourselves live by. In our case these are the Unitarian Universalist Principles which support us in all our endeavors.
Every person is important.
Be kind in all you do.
We’re free to learn together.
We can search for what is true.
All people need a voice.
Build a fair and peaceful world.
We care for the Earth.
We hope you and your children will choose to join us in running, hopping, skipping, dancing, and learning together.

10/8 – Chapel Sunday, “Diwali, a Hindu Celebration of Light”: This most popular of Hindu holidays celebrates the triumph of good over evil and light over darkness. After hearing the central story of Diwali, “Rama and Sita, A Story of Courage”, we’ll make clay lamps, sand mandalas, and eat sweets.
10/15 – 2nd Hour Gathering: “Apple & Harvest Celebration”; We welcome everyone following the service at our “2nd Hour Gathering”, downstairs in the dining room. Join us to make candy apples and “bob” for donuts. We’ll have lunch (harvest soups), desert (apple based), & coffee.
10/15 & 10/22 – “Spirit Play” and “The Miracle of Creation” continue.
10/29 – Multigenerational worship, “A Day of Remembrance”. Bring a photo or memento of a loved one (human or animal) for the altar we will create together. The children will “Trick or Treat” for UNICEF during coffee hour. All are encouraged to come in costume.
