BEAUTY: savoring life’s gifts
Summer is upon us. Our final gathering of the year will be on June 16 when we will participate in one of our most beloved traditions, Flower Communion, and celebrate all that is beautiful as symbolized by the flowers we bring.
While we are apart from each other over the summer, I hope you will take time to find something beautiful each day. Here I offer some thoughts to keep with you till we gather again.
“…Beauty is the creator of the universe.” Ralph Waldo Emerson
“In difficult times, carry something beautiful in your heart.” Blaise Pascal
Where beauty is apparent, we are to enjoy it.
Where there is beauty hidden, we are to unveil it.
Where there is beauty defaced, we are to restore it.
Where there is no beauty at all, we are to create it. Robert McAfee Brown
“You become what you behold. So, choose carefully what you behold. Chase beauty friends, so you become it.” Jason Silva
“This is a wonderful day. I’ve never seen this one before.” Maya Angelou
Go in beauty,
