Dear Members, Congregants and Friends,
What we voiced together at our meeting in October embarking on a campaign to care for our spiritual home is reflected in these words by a member of our FCU family.
I think about my spiritual home here at FCU the same way I think about my own home; and so I need to do my part to care for my spiritual home.
The work has begun to craft a capital campaign that will care for the bones of our church. The roof has been rebuilt. We are getting quotes for insulation, storm windows, improving the acoustics in our downstairs gathering room, and painting the church. We are also looking into options for a new energy-efficient furnace.
Peter Ersland, Laura Semple, and Eric Semple will lead this initiative. They are continuing to craft a two year campaign that will make a major impact on our church home. They are planning a fabulous Gala to kick things off (and lots of celebrating for milestones achieved along the way!) and of course conversations with all of us about our level of financial commitment.
If you have any questions about the campaign, including how to make your pledge or how to structure payments, please feel free to talk with Peter, Laura, Eric, or anyone on the Standing Committee.
Gratefully,
Deb Girard, Chair; Melissa Baern;
