Five times a year, instead of holding our usual two Sunday services at 9 and 11 am, the congregation comes together in a single unified service at 11 am. These five Sundays are the Sunday after Labor Day (Ingathering), the first Sunday after Christmas, the first Sunday in January (Service of Remembrance), and the second and third Sundays in June (Religious Education Sunday and Parting Worship). Please mark your calendars!
In addition to Sunday services we sponsor a full calendar of worship, music, social, service, and adult and youth religious education programs - please call or visit for more details
We host the Firehouse Coffeehouse folk music series - call for a list of scheduled performers and dates
Our church, like more than 1,000 member societies, is affiliated with the Unitarian Universalist Association of North America.
The heart of Unitarian Universalism is love, service and community.
Nurtured by the congregation, each of us is free to find our own path
to wisdom, understanding, and spiritual growth.
The people of our congregation come from a variety of religious backgrounds, are of all ages, live in several communities, and have many interests. We share in a love of music, an appreciation of humor, and a desire to preserve our diversity by respecting each other's beliefs.
The mission of First Church Unitarian
is to be a welcoming, compassionate, and diverse community,
seeking spiritual growth and fellowship
while working for a just, peaceable, and sustainable world.
Love is the spirit of this church and service its law.
This is our great covenant:
To dwell together in peace,
To seek the truth in love, and
To help one another.
