Adult Enrichment
The Adult Enrichment Committee (AEC); with input from members of the
congregation, the Minister, and the staff; identify, develop and
implement a calendar of diverse program offerings for adults and
children. These programs include religious education courses,
life-skills workshops, recreational groups/activities, and a variety of
fellowship opportunities.
Read about upcoming programs in our
Programming Guide on the
Happenings
page of our website or in
The Bulletin
our monthly church newsletter.
The AEC consists of three to six congregation members. The committee
meets regularly to ensure the ongoing coordination of the program
leaders, scheduling of space required, as well as communication to the
congregation. Also, we periodically survey the congregation about
potential new programs.
The Adult Enrichment Programs are incredibly varied. They may be led by
the Minister, by a lay member(s) of the congregation, or by an invited
outside speaker. Some involve commitment to attend 3-4 meetings, others
will continue throughout the year, and some may meet just once. Some
programs use curricula provided by the UUA, others are designed to
address specific needs or issues in the congregation. If you sign up
for
an Enrichment Program, try to attend as many sessions as you possibly
can.
